Business Overview
We Grow our Business by Lowering the Barriers to Accessing Test Results
Testing Barriers
We are working with laboratories to commercialize inexpensive, non-invasive testing methods which are effective shortly after potential infection. For example, compare the window periods for HIV PCR DNA and the HIV Elisa (provided at free clinics) on our "Get Tested" page.
Physical Barriers
Paper copies of test results are easily forged. Standard laboratory test results are also difficult for most people to understand. SxCheck has designed, implemented, and patented, private, secure methods of accessing and sharing test results over the internet (including by email) and on mobile phones.
Social Barriers
Not all social circles are equally sex positive. Raising awareness and building understanding for the importance of testing, especially preventative testing (testing before potential infection), is critical for our health. Media campaigns, sponsorships, educational events, and simply encouraging testing are a few of the ways in which SxCheck is affecting change.
Fiscal Barriers
SxCheck is working to reduce the cost of testing. We would like our most expensive order to cost less than a text message. SxCheck's high volume allows us to not only negotiate deep discounts for our customers, but also to work with laboratories to direct development towards less expensive testing. We also work with non-profit organizations to provide free testing to high-risk populations.
